Thank you for visiting the brand new site for "Jigs & Reels", the all Newfoundland music radio show. The show can be heard in most parts of southern Ontario on FM98.5 CKWR, Mondays 6:30pm - 7:30pm, and now on the web. www.ckwr.com. Click on listen hear and you can listen anywhere in the world. This site will feature pictues of my number one fan, as well as great information on upcoming concerts, events and future interviews on the show. I started "Jigs & Reels" when I was 17, anxiously awaiting to get into college. My newfoundland roots are from my father, Frank Clarke who was born in Heart's Desire, Trinity Bay. He moved to Kitchener in the late 60's. He later met my mother, who is from the Ottawa valley, married, and then had me. My ties to the Newfoundland culture is when I was born, my parents boarded 11 friends from my father's hometown, so of course, every weekend was a party. That's how I personally grew up with the music and culture. I, by the way, was born in Kitchener, but, my heart belongs to the "rock". Over the years, I have had the great pleasure to meet such artists as Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers, Great Big Sea, Fables, Punters, Luke Cox, Dick Nolan, Mac Babb, Roy Payne, Jenny & Josie, and many more.

On Monday night, December 22, It's the annual "Jigs & Reels" Christmas show. Guests, Christmas music and a very special guest. Delaney will also be there. The show will be 2 hours, so lots of music and fun. The show starts at 6:30PM on FM98.5FM. Listen online at www.ckwr.com.
I want to dedicate the rest of my shows for the year to my second cousin Chantel Handke. She was taken from this world too soon. She was only 20 years old and is missed by so many people. I know her father listened to the show and I know that Chantel did too. You are going to be missed in this world, but you will always will remain in our hearts and thoughts. May you rest in peace. Heaven now has another angel.
